... early November is a good time for flamenco lovers in Poland. First, there will be two day woorkshop at "Triana" Flamenco School in Warsaw. Special guests will be Spanish singer Coral de los Reyes and the dancer - Fernando Galan. Those who don't dance or sing flamenco yet - will have a chance to see the artists during one of two "Pena Flamenca Triana" concerts at Instituto Cervantes, Nowogrodzka str., on 5.10 or 8.10
Another important event is Duende Festival which takes place in Poznan, 5-8.10. This year there will be a chance to see Domingo Ortega, the dancer from z Jerez de la Frotera, guitar player - Lassaad Sendy, the dancer Anna Villacampa and Polish flamenco group - Los Payos. More information at the fesival's website.
The event actually starts on Saturday evening with the Holy Mass, at 6 p.m. (The Holy Trinity Church, Solec Str.), followed by the play based on the legend about Jesus statue arrival (later the same evening). On Sunday morning - another Mass and the procession around Solec.
And the annual fiesta starts at 2 p.m. on Sunday :-) There will be a chance to see the students of two flamenco schools from Warsaw (Studio Flamenco and Triana), two professional groups (Corazon Flamenco and Los Payos). The very special guest this year is a group from Seville - Arenales (they will perform at 7 p.m.)
